About SorgImmo

Where and how you live in later life is one of the biggest decisions there is – and one of the easiest to put off. What happens to the mortgage after retirement? Is it worth converting the bathroom, or is moving to a senior apartment the better route? Who pays for what? The questions are uncomfortable, the answers scattered, and every canton handles it slightly differently.

SorgImmo takes those worries seriously – and then takes them away. We explain, step by step, what later-life housing in Switzerland involves: the financing, the age-friendly conversion, and the move to a supported form of housing. Clear, concrete and free of jargon. Every guide answers the most important questions first, gives figures and deadlines, and ends with a checklist you can use right away. The name says it: «Sorge» is German for worry – SorgImmo exists so you have less of it.

It is written for both sides: for people planning for themselves, and for the relatives helping them decide – often from some distance away.

Who is behind it?

SorgImmo is run by ONLU AG, based in Cham (Zug, Switzerland) – part of a small family of complementary real estate platforms:

Independence and limits

Our guides are freely accessible and continuously updated. They provide general information and do not replace legal, tax or financial advice – for complex cases, consult a professional. Where figures differ from canton to canton, we say so openly. This matters especially in later-life housing: supplementary benefits, contributions towards aids and building regulations are set at cantonal and sometimes municipal level. We give orders of magnitude and name the office that issues the binding decision – no more than that.
